My gift to you....

Well we have had a very busy couple of days here at the foster home.
Really busy.
But as you know Halloween is today.
I've never been a fan of Halloween because I don't enjoy being scared or scary things.
I swore off of all scary movies at the age of 18 and I believe that was one of the wisest things I've ever done for myself.
Even just today, I was baking cookies for the nannies in our kitchen and a volunteer came into the kitchen to ask me a question, I screamed and jumped when she started talking to me because I had no idea she was there.
I'm a bit of a scaredy cat.
But I love babies and I love babies in costumes so you can imagine my delight when Amanda told me that we were going to be taking pictures of all of our babies in Halloween costumes.
If you love babies in costumes, this blog post is my gift to you.

Sofia, Justin and Faith as viscous monsters

Hosea as a lion. He reminded me of the lion on Wizard of Oz. So cute.

Bless Karl's heart, he wound up in a rather feminine costume but he still managed to look handsome.

James as a little puppy. He was even playing the role of a little puppy because he couldn't stop scratching himself.
Although the scratching was due to the fact that poor little James has SCABIES. Yes you read that correctly. I told you we've stayed busy around here. I wasn't joking. Poor baby.

Thomas being Tigger.

Olivia

Aaron

Stewart

Ok, these 3 keep me laughing all day long.
Clara, Stella and Julia.
The free spirit, the giggle box and the flower child as I like to call them.

They were to much fun at this photo shoot. I love them all.
You don't think I would look strange carrying 27 babies through customs with me on the way home do you? Because if there was a way, I would become a mommy of 27 in a heart beat.

Cameron being ferocious.

River

The 2 little princesses, Matilda and Jessica.
And there outfits totally match their personalities. Both of these 2 little ladies have become quite the little diva's.

Nick wasn't thrilled about he outfit but this pictures is one of my favorites.

And that is just a few of my favorites. We had 47 babies dressed up in their costumes all at once.
Just imagine if you will, 47 babies crying, giggling, pulling their costumes off piece by piece.
Nannies screaming over all of the babies screaming, crying, laughing and Julee and I on the verge of emotional breakdowns because of the chaos.
I think if wikipedia had been at the foster home on this day, they would have made a new meaning for the word chaos.
It would have been changed to "taking pictures of 47 babies under the age of 3 in their Halloween costumes all at one time".
But I would do it all over again.
The crazy things we do for these babies. I love it and I love them.

*Yesterday we hit our 2 week countdown until we leave China for good.
2 weeks, can you believe it?
With that in mind, if you can think of a way that I wouldn't look suspicious walking through US/Chinese customs with 27 babies, please contact me immediately. *

  2. I didn’t think there was a way to make Chinese babies and cuter, but apparently there is! These should be sent in for cutest baby awards. I think my favorite (although very hard to choose) would be Stewart in the cow costume, and runner up Thomas as Tigger. Thank you for sharing these with us!
